Education

Two things every kid deserves: a book and a math problem.

Why education

Where the marginal dollar moves outcomes the most.

Two things separate a child who flourishes from one who doesn't: the books in the home and the math at the desk. Both can be supplied — and both are systematically under-supplied to the students who would benefit most.

The U.S. spends a lot on K-12 education. The marginal dollar at the program level — the after-school tutor, the STEM kit, the field trip to a research lab — is where we can move outcomes the most per dollar.

Programs we fund

Where the money goes.

  • STEM enrichment at public schools serving low-income communities.
  • Literacy programs focused on reading-on-grade-level by 4th grade — the established inflection point for academic trajectory.
  • Field-trip and exposure programs that show kids what a working scientist, engineer, or doctor actually does.

Partners

Doubling impact through matching.

JPMorgan Chase's matching grant program effectively doubles each eligible donation. Specific school partners are evaluated annually for program quality, student outcomes, and capacity to absorb additional funding.

Help us reach one more student.

Every dollar designated to education goes to the education program.
