Directors serve without compensation. The foundation employs no paid staff. Director names and titles are disclosed annually on the foundation's IRS Form 990.
Governance practices
How the board operates.
The board meets at least annually to review programs, approve the annual budget, and certify compliance with the foundation's governance policies.
Each director signs an annual conflict-of-interest disclosure and re-affirms the foundation's other governance policies: gift acceptance, investment policy statement, document retention, and whistleblower protection.
Grants are reviewed by the board before disbursement. Program outcomes are reviewed annually as part of preparing the annual letter.
